Syntax
<Result> = fMerge(<File name> [, <Output file> [, <Option> [, <Progress Bar control>]]])
<Result>: Integer - Number of merged files,
- 0 if an error occurs. To get more details on the error, use ErrorInfo with the errMessage constant.
Remark: in case of error, the output files must be found on disk.
<File name>: Character string Full name of file to merge (without the ".001" extension). <Output file>: Optional character string Full path of the file to be created. By default, <Output file> corresponds to <File name>. <Option>: Optional Integer constant By default: - the source files are kept during the merge operation.
- if the output file already exists, the function returns an error.
You have the ability to specify the following merge options: | | fDeleteDestination | If the destination file already exists, it will be deleted then re-created. | fDeleteSource | The source files will be deleted as the merge operation goes along. Caution: If an error occurs, the source files will be LOST and they cannot be retrieved. |
<Progress Bar control>: Optional control name Name of the Progress Bar control used to follow the progress of the merge operation for the different parts of the file.
