How to proceed in IIS 5 or 6?
To identify the Windows account that runs the AWP protocol:
  1. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager ("Start .. Run .. .. inetmgr.exe" in Windows NT or Windows 2000).
  2. Display the properties of the "WWW" service.
  3. Click the "Security of directories" tab.
  4. Display the authentication methods for anonymous access ("Edit" button).
The Windows account corresponds to the user name used to start an anonymous session ("Modify" button).
How to proceed in IIS 7?
To identify the Windows account that runs the AWP protocol:
  1. Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager ("Start .. Run .. .. inetmgr.exe" in Windows Vista).
  2. Select "Default Web Site".
  3. Select "Authentication" in the list that is displayed:
  4. In the screen that appears, select "Anonymous Authentication".
  5. Click the "Edit..." button on the right.
  6. The name of the anonymous user is displayed. It can be modified if necessary. Validate.
How to proceed in Apache?
To identify the Windows account that runs the AWP protocol:
  1. Start the service control panel.
  2. Display the properties of "Apache" service.
  3. The corresponding Windows account is displayed:
    • the system account
    • another Windows account.
